KIM BISHOP MS OTR/L

OWNER OF K.B. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY P.C.

Kim is a New York State certified and licensed Occupational Therapist, having earned her Master’s Degree from Long Island University. She started her career working at the Rebecca School in Manhattan, which services children ages 5-21 with developmental delays utilizing the DIR/Floortime model. In 2014, she became a certified DIR/Floortime provider. She continued her career in multiple pediatric settings including schools, clinics, home based therapy, and currently providing services in private practice. Throughout her career, she has worked with a variety of children with various needs such as developmental delays, autism, sensory processing disorders, motor planning deficits, and visual motor deficits. She takes an individualized approach with each child, and aims to work collaboratively with the child and family to amplify their strengths and address the areas of difficulty. She believes the relationship with not only the child but the family helps drive the success of therapy.
